Anna Ewing

Anna Ewing is Executive Vice President of Operations and Technology and Chief Information Officer of The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc.  In this capacity, Ms. Ewing is responsible for all technology development and network operations. 

As NASDAQ’s Chief Information Officer, she has led the technology integration of the INET platform within NASDAQ’s existing trading systems and is overseeing NASDAQ’s cost-saving technology roadmap.  Previously, Ms. Ewing was part of NASDAQ’s Application Services Group and was responsible for all application development and quality control functions, including all trading systems, corporate systems and external facing web sites.  Anna was also the Technical Project Manager for the implementation of the NASDAQ Market Center and the integration of the Brut ECN. 

Prior to joining NASDAQ, Ms. Ewing was employed at CIBC World Markets in New York , where she served as Managing Director of Electronic Commerce. In this capacity, she was responsible for applications development and e-commerce initiatives within CIBC World Markets, the investment banking arm for CIBC.  Before that, Ms. Ewing served as Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where she held various leadership positions within the Corporate and Institutional Client Group Technology Division, including head of Institutional Client Technology, head of Financial Futures and Options and Prime Brokerage Technology and Regional Head of Merrill Lynch Canada Inc.

Ms. Ewing holds an M.B.A. from the Schulich Business School at York University in Toronto , where she majored in Management Information Systems.
